Waaw Shop info,  terms and conditions

WaawShop Online shop is part of  Waaw Africa Productions. Business ID (Y-tunnus): 2199526-2.   Address:  Jyväskylä, Finland. Waaw Shop obeys Finnish laws for customer protection. A percentage of shop income will be donated to Waaw Africa Productions Humanitary Work.

Ordering and preliminary invoice

The products are purchased online. When customer completes the order, he/she will receive a purchase confirmation and preliminary invoice via automated email to the email address given by the customer upon ordering. Customer pays the order to the bank account given in the invoice. When the payment has arrived to Waaw Africa productions account (normally within 1-2 bank days), the order will then be delivered to the customer within 1-7 working days.

If product delivery differs from the estimated time, the seller will contact the customer.

For any special requests and questions concerning the order, please contact the seller prior to purchase.

Delivery costs

Normal delivery costs are 5.90€ per order, unless stated otherwise in product description (for example instruments) or when customer picks up the delivery straight from seller. Pickup deliveries will have to be agreed upon individually by contacting the seller before completing the online order.

Instruments, due to their size and weight and for product safety reasons, require special delivery and are generally shipped with Matkahuolto, unless the customer and seller agree upon an alternative delivery method. The general delivery cost with Matkahuolto for a single instrument (for example djembe) within Finland is about 20€. The delivery costs may vary according to Matkahuolto shipping rates.

For hand pickups, please contact the seller before completing the online order.

Waaw Africa delivers products only inside Finland. For exceptions, such as international deliveries, please contact the seller to see if this is possible and at what cost. Normal delivery costs do not apply.

Canceling the order

To cancel an order contact the seller as soon as possible, before the shipment.

Orders made online will be reserved for the customer for 10 working days from the day of ordering. If after this time the customer’s payment has not arrived to Waaw Africa Productions account, the order is automatically cancelled.

Product returns and refunding

Waaw Africa Productions obeys  Finnish consumer protecting laws. Customer has a right to return ordered products within 14 days upon delivery and be refunded.

  • When returning any goods, customer must first contact the seller via email or phone.
  • Returned products have to be unused, in their original condition and original packing. If a product has been used or in any way damaged after the delivery, the customer’s right for payment refunds no longer applies.
  • If the shop cannot provide the product the customer has paid for, the payment will be refunded.
  • The seller and customer may also mutually agree on a product replacement or an  alternative method of compensation instead of refunding.

Returning standard mail deliveries

To return a product, a customer will have to return the goods within 14 days upon delivery in their original wrapping, to Waaw Africa Productions,  Jyväskylä, Finland. Reason for returning will have to be stated by including a note within the returned delivery. The customer will have to include a valid bank account number as well, so that the product price and delivery costs can be refunded. The refunds will be made to customer’s account within 10 bank days after receiving the returned order.

  • If the order is not returned in its original wrapping, is not properly packed upon returning and for this reason gets damaged during shipment, the customer’s right for refunding no longer applies.
  • If the customer does not follow these product returning instructions, the right for payment refunds no longer applies.

Returning special shipments

If a product requires special delivery method (such as instruments via Matkahuolto), the customer will be refunded the price of the product only. Delivery and return costs will not be refunded to the customer (Finnish Law for Customer Protection).

  • If the order is not returned in its original wrapping, or is not properly packed upon returning and for this reason gets damaged during shipment, the customer’s right for refunding no longer applies.
  • If the customer does not follow these product returning instructions, the right for payment refunds no longer applies.

Damaged goods

If  products are damaged during initial shipment, please contact us to report the incident and for refunds or product replacement options.
